This year has been a busy year for us. And I know a lot of people, just like us, don’t have the time to go out and take a day and shop. If you’re anything like us, you probably did some of your shopping online, like we did. And our main online go-to was Amazon. Below is what we found worked for us.
Christmas is a magical time of year. It always was for me growing up. So I wanted to do the same thing for my little ones. I’ve tried to make everything special for them the weeks leading up to Christmas and the weeks after.
Christmas ornaments/stockings
I love christmas ornaments. Each year, I try to get a new ornament for our tree. And sometimes, I end up with more than one. For our toddlers first year, I got him a baby’s 1st christmas ornament in Tennessee on vacation. We get an ornament from wherever we go on vacation. Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Missouri. The smokies. It’s so fun to think about the places we’ve while decorating the tree or when looking at the beauty of it as it illuminates our living room. Christmas stockings. I love christmas stockings. They look beautiful over our mantel that my dad made with lights and tinsel above them. So peaceful and tranquil. I can fill my worries and cares melt away when I look at them. My mother in law got my toddler, his baby’s first christmas stocking. It’s a small baby blue stocking with a bear on it.
We do not like to make a difference in our children, so this year, I had to find a couple of my firsts for our littlest one. It wasn’t surprising that I found both of these on Amazon. And surprisingly, I was impressed with both.
The perfect ornament
I feel like finding the perfect ornament was the hardest. I am a picky person. You should see me trying to figure out what toothpaste i want to buy. I was looking for a pink rocking horse. And I felt like I just settled for this one. It was something that was on the cheaper side, looked “ok”, and would get here before Christmas. It wasn’t a rocking horse like I wanted, but it would do. And “boy howdy” was I wrong. I got it in the mail, expecting it to arrive wrapped in only bubble wrap, but it was inside a box wrapped in bubble wrap. I opened the box and couldn’t believe my eyes. This ornament was gorgeous. It was beyond beautiful. Every detail and every little aspect of this entire ornament was just outstanding. It wasn’t a light cheap made ornament like I was expecting. It had weight to it. The pink was soft, not overbearing. You could feel the detail in the toboggin and the snowflakes. It turned out to be everything that I wanted and more. If you haven’t gotten one to mark the year for your little one, you really should think about it.
Personalized Baby first Christmas Stocking
Next to pick out the Baby’s first Christmas stocking. I found a stocking similar to the one my kother in law got, except for pink. Ordered it and didn’t think twice. Ehen I received it in the mail it was huge. It was so much bigger than I expected. I had it in my head that the size would be the same as my toddlers stocking. So I didn’t even check the dimensions. My bad. But I love it. It’s perfect. It’s the size of a normal Christmas stocking. I guess where his was so much smaller and it cost more, I just assumed. And you know what that does. The color is a light pink not overbearing. And the detail in the teddy bear is amazing. Not disappointed at all. However, my toddler might be when he gets older and wanted to know why sissy’s stocking is bigger.

The Trolls DVD
When you have an infant, Christmas presents are hard to find that are age appropriate. And in all honestly, let’s just face it. They would rather play with the shiny paper and boxes. And if they are around the age of trying new soft foods. They are more interested in any food that they see. Like Santa’s Christmas cookies. So our little loves the movie Trolls. And recently removed from Netflix. This was a given. The price was cheaper than in the store. What’s not to like. Instant click.
V tech Learn and Discover Pretty Party Play Set
I had a tea set when I was little that I really enjoyed. So this was purchased for the infant for Christmas. However, Loved by all. Both my Littles love playing with it. The pitcher is so neat. I love that the ice looks so realistic. And the ice and lemonade in the pitcher move when you tilt it to pour. The cups fit their hands perfectly. And my toddler had already used the cup to hold his m&ms. The tunes are catchy. Great find.
Lone Cone Elementary Collection Rubber Rain Boots
The yellow Construction Zone Rain Boots were a big hit with my toddler. He wore them outside to play in the mud after we opened presents. The next day, I had to wash them off in the sink right before heading out the door so he could wear them to “me maws” for Christmas. He wanted to show them off. And his new clean Paw Patrol boots just wouldn’t do. The quality is great. The pattern is fun. They were designed in the United States in Idaho. So for your construction loving little one these were great. And true to size.
Bath toys for kids
The best part. No holes. I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to clean the nasty out of bath ducks and other bath toys. The size is perfect for little hands and they float so well. Almost like the fish and turtle are swimming in the water. No holes make this mama so happy.
Baby musical mat.
Another thing we got the littlest one was a musical mat. Again, another toy that is a perfect find for a toddler or infant. Just make sure that you get yourself some headphones or earplugs.
These toys made perfect Christmas presents for our littles. They would make great gifts for birthdays, or just because.
